WWE Superstar, Seth Rollins has started up a fundraiser for cancer research. The fundraiser will benefit Stand Up To Cancer and as of 12:06 p.m. on September 18, 2014, has currently raised $20. The fundraiser will also support a Crossfit event called Crush Cancer, which will be held in Miami, FL and Culver City, CA on October 18th. Participants must raise $150 in order to take part in the event.
WWE Superstars, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are representing the company at a Susan G. Komen event tonight. The event, entitled “Honoring the Promise” is being held in Washington, D.C.
Stephanie McMahon also recently spoke to ShowBizSpy.com. During the interview, she promoted, “Connor’s Cure”, a charity that supports pediatric cancer research. McMahon also discussed Connor Michalek, his impact on WWE and how the company plans to support the cause.
“I truly believe again that somehow WWE is a part of this story for a reason, and that’s the power of our voice. We’re seen by 13 million people in the U.S. alone in a week, we have over 4 hundred million social media followers, and that number grows every week. We’re in 170 countries. We can amplify Connor’s message and tell his story, and ultimately and hopefully find a cure for pediatric cancer.”
